What to know about our Circumcision method?
  • Our circumcision method involves the Pullock technique, administered under a long-acting
    anesthetic. Our method is quick and safe, with a fast recovery time. The entire procedure
    will take around 20-30 minutes.
  • Circumcision by Pollock method is almost pain free but still there is some discomfort. We do
    our best discomfort. We do our best to reduce your infant’s discomfort/pain as much as possible.
    We encourage both the parents to attend the appointment, as it has been proven effective
    to pacify the child. With your child at our clinic, you can be sure that he is in good and secure
    hands. Please read the steps we take throughout the procedure and things you should
    know so that you are well-informed before your visits.
Before The Procedure
  • Give your child a baby Paracetamol before you leave home.
    It will help relieve the pain. Please consult the instructions
    on pack for accurate dosage.
  • If you are unsure about the dosage, Dr. Sayyal is just a call
    away for proper dosage instructions.Make sure that you do
    not give any other medicine except Paracetamol.
During The Procedure
  • The procedure usually takes 20- 30 minutes. We are supportive
    throughout the procedure that your child feels comfortable in
    the environment. We use the most extensive and effective pain
    control methods.
    • Firstly, we will apply a topical anesthetic to the area
      to numb the skin.
    • Then he is injected with an anesthetic into the soft tissue
      around the penis.
    • Your child will hardly feel the injection because his skin
      would already be number due to the topical anesthetic.
  • After almost 10 minutes, the circumcision is performed.
  • We also make sure to distract your child from the procedure and
    give them sugar pacifiers or sugar drops to suck on. The sweet
    flavor will reduce the pain perception of your infant.
After The Procedure
  • You will be provided a written set of instructions for
    post-circumcision care. For your peace of mind, you can
    reach Dr. Sayyal 24 hours a day. Babies usually return to
    their cheerful selves few hours after the procedure.
